Playlists: my Christmas favorites

Table of Contents Show

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays! I love the decor, the music, and the family visits. We are all really close, and we tend to laugh until our face-muscles hurt when we all get together.

With music being such a big part of my family-life, I love to share music playlists with them, and now with you too!

My family’s super musical, my husband included, –so ALL of us can sing & play at least 1 instrument. Bet ya didn’t know that! 😂 #funfact

    • My husband sings & plays French Horn, acoustic & classical guitar, and piano, and took violin lessons in grade school.

    • My Dad sings & harmonizes, and plays drums, acoustic & bass guitar, and trumpet.

    • My Mom sings & harmonizes, and plays piano.

    • My little sister, Anna, sings, harmonizes, plays drums & acoustic guitar. Here’s her playing some acoustic Christmas songs!

    • Anna’s husband, Will –my brother-in-law, plays phenomenal bass guitar & upright bass.

    • My older sister, Bonnie, sings, harmonizes, plays drums, trumpet, piano and acoustic guitar.

    • Bonnie’s husband, Steve –my other brother-in-law, plays Trumpet & sings.

    • And I can sing & harmonize a little, and I played flute really well through grade school, but haven’t picked it up in a while; design is more my gig/creative outlet these days, but I did enjoy playing flute, alto flute & piccolo in an orchestra during high school. 😉

    So there ya have it!
When I said my family is super musical, I wasn’t exaggerating. 😂

I thought I’d help warm up your house a little & get you singing or humming along with some of my favorite Christmas music & smiles! 🎄

    But first, a family funny:

Now that I’ve kinda introduced ya to my whole musical family, I can’t skip over this little gem 👇🏻 (sharing solely because it’s Christmas related & so funny!):

One of THE BEST Christmas gift reactions I’ve ever witnessed; when my Dad UTTERLY SHOCKED my Mom with a baby Grand Piano for Christmas in 2012. 🤣 She’d had a loaner grand she was holding for a relative, just to test it out. My Dad replaced it with one he bought for her as a surprise & the company secretly brought it in & set it up in the same spot as close to Christmas as possible, while she was out of the house. She hadn’t noticed the difference until she sat down to play & sing Christmas Carols with us that night!

    Favorite Christmas music playlists!

    for Apple Music or Spotify

I prefer upbeat music, happy, and modern. So most of these are modern takes on the classics, with some new stuff thrown in.
