Before we jump into today’s topic –no, I’m not an affiliate for this tool, but I do love about it & rave anyway!

As of 2023, Squarespace does offer a way to migrate content between version 7.0 and 7.1, but only for a full website migration, not for copying individual pages between websites.

So, you can imagine my genuine, nerdy excitement when I found a plugin that WOULD migrate pages & Site Styles tweaks between websites in just a couple clicks.

It’s a Chrome extension on a subscription model for about $160 USD/year. They may have a limited version on a lite or free plan, but honestly I’m not sure as I haven’t looked in years and all of that is subject to change by the developer anyway.

Because it was the priciest “plugin” I’d seen at the time, I put the extension on my Want List for months before I acted on it, which is very typical of me.

When I finally bought it, admittedly I was first a little overwhelmed because the tutorials & instructions at that time were kinda nonexistent.

Since then I’ve easily learned my way around, enough to find plenty of uses for it, ––some that I’ve totally forgotten are not built-in features of Squarespace because it feels that natural.

It’s a subscription product so the developer can keep up with Squarespace’s fast-moving UI updates, bug fixes, etc., and provide tech support.

You’ll probably love having it in your back pockett (like I do), so for web designers like myself, it’ll just become another annual expense you can write off for your business.

And just in case the thought has crossed your mind and you’re wondering but are too timid to ask:

    • No, this plugin doesn’t do the same set of things that SquareKicker can do

    • No, the two plugins do not interfere with each other

    • Yes, you can use both, neither, or just one of them

    • No, you don’t have to be a professional designer to be able to use it

    • Yes, the shop owner does offer tech support.

Okay! That’s that. Now. Let’s move on! 😃

I actually didn’t “write” anything for this week’s post, because a regular blog tutorial format just wouldn’t do this extension justice. Besides, if you’re ‘on the outside’ looking in, you’ll want to SEE how it works in real-time anyway.

So, let’s just dive right in to the quick video overview! 👇🏼
