If you’ve been to my portfolio, ever, you’ve seen Souljam’s website there.
Since day 1 I’ve been a big part of their design work, from their custom logo & website to their merch, gig flyers, their first album, and now their 2nd!
Their (Covid19-safe) release party was held on March 20, 2021, and sadly I wasn’t able to attend because we’re literally in the middle of moving across the country!
But I thought since I couldn’t be there to celebrate with them, I might as well announce it here as a mini-celebration of all that these guys (& gal) have achieved since we started working together in 2014!
So without further ado, go checkout their new album! Maybe their music will make a great work playlist for you!
Who is Souljam?
Souljam is a regional jam band based in Vero Beach, FL, made up of five musicians:
Will Keehner, bass
Anna Keehner, lead vocals/guitar
Patrick Williams, drums
Brandon Putzke, percussion
John Carpenter, lead guitar/vocals
Straight from their website:
“We play select cover tunes and write and perform our own material as well. Even when we’re playing material by other bands and writers, creativity and self-expression lie at our core. While we hover within parameters familiar to fans of classic rock or those acquainted with The Allman Brothers, Widespread Panic, and Umphrey’s Mcgee, we want our listeners to be stimulated by the new and exciting rather than hypnotized by the tried and true.
Once we developed a solid repertoire of cover songs we all liked, we began adding originals written by Anna and John. Both are experienced composers, so there is plenty of material to draw upon.”
